Green Onion Biscuits
Adapted from Light and Tasty, as seen on Savory Spicy Sweet

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1 cup buttermilk
3 tablespoons canola oil
1/2 cup finely chopped green onions
softened butter (just a few tablespoons)
1/4-1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar (optional)
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Combine the buttermilk, onions and oil; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.
Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Lightly spread a small amount of softened butter on the top of each biscuit Sprinkle with a little cheddar cheese. Bake at 400° for 14-18 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.Pin It
oh yum those look delicious! i loooove biscuits. i've never tried to make 'em but i'm sure they're way better than the frozen kind. way to go!
